Warranty

UNI boiler warranty terms — 10 years on the body for closed systems, 3 years for open, 1 year on controller and fan, what is excluded and what voids cover.

Updated

The boiler body is covered for 10 years on a closed system and 3 years on an open one — the difference is the single biggest warranty decision you will make. The manufacturer provides a full guarantee of the product according to the warranty inclusions below.

Fill in the warranty card

Warranty is only valid with a properly filled warranty card showing the date of commissioning by the qualified installer. Demand from your distributor and commissioning professional that the warranty card is correctly filled in.

Warranty periods

ComponentPeriod
Boiler body, closed heating systems10 years
Boiler body, open heating systems3 years
Controller1 year
Fan1 year
TIS Tronic controller (manufacturer's own terms)24 months from date of sale, not more than 36 months from date of manufacture

What is covered

  • The manufacturer provides a guarantee on the manufactured product.
  • The manufacturer is liable under warranty only if a defect is found in the device itself.
  • The manufacturer decides whether to correct the defect or replace the unit.
  • Warranty repairs are free of charge.
  • Warranty covers only a device installed in accordance with the instructions and rules specified in them.

What is not covered

What voids the warranty

Warranty stops in case of wrong installation or improper use of the device

Specifically:

  • Open heating systems. If using the boiler in an open heating system the corrosion rate will be very fast and the warranty is avoided.
  • Commissioning by a non-accredited person. Commissioning must be performed by a professional authorised by the manufacturer — an accredited installer, service centre or representative. In case of non-compliance with these instructions the guarantee will not be effective and warranty claims will not be accepted.
  • Unauthorised controller work. Unauthorised activation, making changes to the device and repairs may cause deterioration of the boiler's operating parameters and its safety, and lead to loss of the guarantee for both the regulator and the boiler as a whole.
  • Boilers not electrically grounded. Boilers TIS UNI must be electrically grounded.

Making a claim

Report immediately, in writing

Each complaint should be immediately transmitted after fault detection, in writing, by contacting the distributor of your region.

Clean the equipment

At the time of performing a warranty repair by the service professional or distributor, the equipment must be cleaned of soot, tar and other contaminants.

Provide access

The customer undertakes to provide all facilities and access to perform warranty and post-warranty repairs.

Use an accredited repairer

Warranty repairs can only be performed by a specialised organisation — the installer, service centre or distributor accredited by the manufacturer.

Controller warranty claims

The controller is manufactured by BelKomin LLC. Under its own terms:

  • Defects found during the warranty period are eliminated free of charge.
  • The warranty covers malfunctions caused by defective parts and/or manufacturing defects.
  • Defective equipment must be sent by the applicant — after receiving the consent of the guarantor — to the service institution. Parcels sent cash-on-delivery will not be accepted.
  • Carefully check the damaged equipment, describe the type of damage in the warranty repair certificate, and deliver the damaged equipment with the warranty card to the plant's service department.
  • The manufacturer decides independently whether to repair or replace the device. The period for correcting defects cannot exceed 14 working days, and not less than 6 working days from the date the equipment arrives at the service centre.

Warranty claims and questions about the regulator should be directed to the seller, the seller's service department, or the manufacturer.
