Boiler settings
Every parameter in the TIS Tronic 260U boiler settings menu — hysteresis, maximum and shutdown temperatures, pump start, fan type, firing-up time and cooling temperature.
The boiler settings menu holds the parameters that define the boiler's safe envelope and its fire-up behaviour. These are set once at commissioning and rarely touched afterwards.
Temperature parameters
How many degrees below setpoint the controller switches back from supervision to operation — that is, when the fan restarts.
Example: with the boiler set to 60 °C and hysteresis 2 °C, the boiler switches from supervision to operating after the temperature drops to 58 °C.

The maximum permitted boiler water temperature. Shown above the ruler on the boiler temperature main screen.
Above this value the regulator treats the boiler as unstable: external devices such as a room thermostat are ignored until operation stabilises, and fan control functions are disabled.

When the boiler temperature drops below this value, the regulator switches off the fan and goes to STOP mode, shown by the yellow LED.
Shutdown can be caused by a shortage of fuel, a boiler malfunction, incorrect settings or a prolonged power outage.

The boiler temperature above which all active pumps switch on. Pumps switch off when the temperature drops 5 °C below this value.

How the four temperatures stack
35 °C pumps start → 65 °C setpoint → 78 °C all pumps forced on → 80 °C external controls ignored, fan control disabled → ~90 °C STB cuts the fan (hardware) → 94 °C emergency alarm and boiler protection mode.
Fan and combustion
Selects the fan model so the speed curve matches the hardware. Choosing correctly avoids a "dead band" in which changing parameters produces no noticeable change in fan operation.

How many degrees before the set temperature the fan starts slowing down. Applies in all three operating modes.

The maximum time the fire-up stage may last. The regulator considers ignition successful if the boiler temperature rises, within this time, above the boiler shutdown temperature + 2 °C.

If the time expires without success, the controller raises a Failed fireup alarm.
How long the exhaust gas temperature target is held at 300 °C, driving the fan at maximum capacity for faster ignition. Only available when the operating mode is Brager Expert exhaust gases.

Exhaust and fuel shortage
Activates the exhaust gas temperature sensor. An additional main screen appears and the regulator can operate in Brager Expert exhaust gases mode.
Selects how the boiler decides to switch into quenching mode — from the boiler temperature sensor, or from the exhaust gas sensor. See Quenching.
The exhaust temperature below which the boiler will switch to extinguishing mode. Only relevant when the exhaust-based detection method is selected.
